VISION

Using fabric in unexpected ways to depict the everyday enables me to explore similarities among things that at first seem dissimilar.

EXPERIENCE

Art happens by happy accident--usually after hours of trial and error.

About Liptack Studios

Angela has played with fabric, off and on, for decades. Today she uses fabric, needle, thread (and occasionally acrylic paint) to create loosely representational art that expressively depicts scenes, concepts, and moods.

philosOphy

Nothing that humans have ever made fully captures the complexity, variety and riotous qualities of creation itself.

UNIQUENESS

A fabric stash to rival any artist's palette.

aNGELA s. lIPTACK, fIBER aRTIST

From Hay Grown in a field ...

to needlepoint yarn spun of man-made materials, today’s fiber artist has unlimited choices. “Tree” and other similar works resulted from a frustrating afternoon trying to make a needlepoint yarn into something it couldn’t be—and giving in when it asserted its preferred identity, at least in my studio, as a tree.
